The foundation seeks to serve the four-county area through philanthropy, to provide leadership in meeting charitable needs, and to be a responsible steward to donors of the endowment. Giving primarily for social services; support also for arts and culture, education, health services, and housing, neighborhoods, economic and community development, youth, children, and families. The "In Youth We Trust" group of the foundation supports programs initiated by and operated for people under 21.
